Position Overview
As a Traffic Control Flagger, you will play a critical role in maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow through construction and work zones. You will help protect workers, motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians while ensuring projects operate safely and with minimal disruption to the public.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices in accordance with WSDOT and MUTCD standards
* Direct traffic safely and efficiently through construction and utility work zones
* Monitor job site conditions and identify potential safety hazards
* Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and the public
* Respond professionally to changing traffic patterns and work site conditions
* Assist crews as needed to support safe and efficient operations
* Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
* Stand for extended periods throughout the workday
Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour
Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
