Downtown Des Moines is looking for a skilled high-rise carpenter who constructs, installs, and repairs wooden frameworks and fixtures in multi-story residential or commercial buildings. This physically demanding role requires expertise in both rough framing and finish carpentry, rigorous adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work comfortably at significant heights.
Requirements
- Framework Construction: Measure, cut, and install wood, steel, and metal for floor systems, load-bearing walls, partitions, and stairways.Concrete Formwork: Build and erect specialized forms and support decks necessary for pouring concrete to shape the superstructure of the building.Finish Carpentry: Install interior and exterior fixtures including doors, windows, trim, molding, cabinetry, and hardware.Blueprint Reading: Review technical drawings, sketches, and schematics to accurately plot layouts and determine dimensions for all projects.Safety & Compliance: Execute work in strict accordance with OSHA regulations,
