Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced driver to transport goods to various destinations. The driver will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining the vehicle in good condition. The role requires excellent driving skills, punctuality, and adherence to traffic laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Transporting passengers or goods to assigned destinations, ensuring safe and timely arrival.
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Adhering to all traffic and road safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
Planning and following the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries and minimize delays.
Maintaining accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle, including minor maintenance such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, etc.
Communicating effectively with dispatchers, passengers, or customers, providing updates or changes in schedule.
Handling and securing goods (if applicable) during transport to prevent damage or theft.
Assist with loading and unloading goods (if applicable) as needed.
Reporting any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to the supervisor or relevant authorities.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license (specific to the type of vehicle being driven).
Proven experience as a driver or in a similar role.
Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
Ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to handle stress and remain calm in emergencies.
